Q-CHEM HONORS QATARI EMPLOYEES AT ANNUAL MEETING

Qatar Chemical Company Ltd (Q-Chem) recently held its annual town hall meeting for Qatari employees under the banner “In Their Footsteps”.

The meeting was attended by senior management, group and department managers, and all Qatari employees working at Q-Chem, Q-Chem II, and Ras Laffan Olefins Company Ltd (RLOC). Ahmed Ibrahim al-Emadi, general manager, Q-Chem, opened the session by expressing appreciation to the commitment and loyalty of Qatari employees to the company. “We mutually pledge our lives to develop skills and empowering talented Qataris to achieve their goals,” al-Emadi said.

Since its inception, Q-Chem has focused on the development of national cadre to achieve the company’s strategic goals and espousing the company’s vision and Qatarisation drive as a priority. Al-Emadi also underlined the importance of company-wide teamwork and the importance of preserving high-performance achievement and standards, especially on safety, health, and environment to guarantee sustainability and competence among big players in petrochemical industry. The meeting also presented the progress of the company’s Qatarisation drive and included a variety of motivational and self-empowering sessions alongside team-building activities intended to bring together employees and tap hidden skills.

Q-Chem’s continuous efforts and achievements in Qatarisation were recognised during the presentation of the “Qatarisation Crystal Award” in May in the “supporting and sponsoring students” category. The award was given to companies that displayed tangible progress and excellent performance in Qatarisation within oil and gas sector. The meeting was concluded with senior management recognising and awarding employees in the following categories: high outstanding performance, high scores of sponsored students at Qatar University and CNAQ, and high scores of technical preparatory programme (TPP).
